Siempre a sido una de mis bandas favoritas, muy alocada, llena de controversia debido a sus cambios de vocalistas, al fin y al cabo solo una banda de metal extremo desde antes representaba a la escena metalera canadiense yu esa era Voivod, y despues de el lanzamiento a la fama de cryptopsy fijaron muchos sus ojitos para canada, y vieron el poderio musical de este pais, y bandas como cryptopsy los noventa cargaron el maltrecho cuerpo del death metal en los noventa junto a bandas de la escena polaca, y gracias a bandas k salieron con nuevas ideas musicales, y mezclarla con el death metal este resurguio no mejor que en los 80 pero definitivamente mejor que en el 1991.



Cryptopsy have been living legends in death metal ever since their 1996 masterpiece None So Vile, widely heralded as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, death metal album of all time. Founded by vocalist Lord Worm and drummer Flo Mounier in the early 90's, the band earned recognition and fame early on based primarily on the unique talents of these two men; Flo Mounier for his incredibly technical playing and the invention of the hyperblast, and Lord Worm for his distinctive style and unusually intelligent lyrics. However, after the release of None So Vile, times changed for Cryptopsy, as Lord Worm retired from the band and was replaced by what many fans feel was an inferior vocalist.

Despised Icon and Ion Dissonance have extremely close ties. For instance; Apocaliptic Script (featuring bassist Xavier St-Laurent and guitarist Sebastien Chaput) and Deuterium (featuring Antoine Lussier) both share ID and DI members. Alex Erian filled in for Gabriel McCaughry (his roommate and designer of Desipsed Icon album artworks and several t-shirts) after he quit Ion Dissonance. When Steve Marois was ill, Kevin McCaughey filled in for approx 30 Despised Icon shows. Kevin McCaughey is now the lead singer for Ion Dissonance. Yannick and Alex E also had a band together with Antoine Lussier (guitarist for Ion Dissonance). Antoine Lussier (Ion Dissonance guitarist) and Alex Pelletier (Despised Icon dummer) are also cousins...

To further the complexity, Yannick St-Amand produces and masters for bands such as Ion Dissonance, Neuraxis, Beneath the Massacre and Despised Icon themselves.

This album in my opinion, have more DEATH than core, is highly technical, brutal, and a great release, in most part i liked it .

Origin of band's name:
The Band's name is taken from a compilation of Miquel Martí i Pol poetry book called "Amb Vidres a la Sang: Obra Poètica III" (Crystals in the blood: Poetry Works III). Catalan poet Miquel Martí i Pol died in November 11th, 2003 after more than 30 years of multiple sclerosis disease. With this sentence, crystals within the blood, among others, the poet described the symptoms of his disease.

BIOGRAPHY:
In late 2000, the foundation of Ulcerate was formed by Jamie Saint Merat, Michael Hoggard, together with the addition of vocalist Mark Seeny, then under the moniker 'Bloodwreath'. With some line-up changes by the enlisting of guitarist Jared Commerer, and James Wallace in 2002, to replace departing members this new line-up and some more focus the band tracked four tracks of the first recording effort. This caused the band to change names to "Ulcerate". While it was fairly removed from Ulcerate's current sound and direction, this S/T 2003 demo proved to be a solid platform from which the band could evolve. Throughout 2003 the band continued to build from the success off the S/T demo and by late November tracking was already underway for 'The Coming Of Genocide' EP. During this recording process Jared Commerer decided he wished to focus on his jazz bass playing and chose to leave Ulcerate. Michael Rothwell joined soon after. Also at this time Ulcerate's first permanent bassist was enlisted in the form of Phil Kusabs. For the second time in as many years local support for the band built rapidly off the back of a release - this time with 'The Coming Of Genocide'. While 2004 proved to be a highly successful year with a solid line-up, by mid 2005 the decision was made to further refine the Ulcerate 'sound', and the band opted to move to a cleaner finger style bass approach, adding an extra dimension to the sound. Thus Paul Kelland was recruited with the departure of Phil Kusabs. Early 2006 vocalist James Wallace departed, with Ben Read (ex-Kill Me Quickly, Misadventures in Self Surgery) filling his vacancy bringing an entirely different sound and a formidable set of lungs to the band on the eve of completing their debut full-length for Holland based Neurotic Records.

Kronos- The Hellenic Terror (2007)

Kronos is a brutal death metal or technical death metal band from France. Their name is a reference to the titan Kronos, the father of Zeus in the greek mythology.

Lyrical subjects

The lyrics of their songs are mainly about myths, legends and historical subjects from the ancient civilizations of Rome, Greece and Egypt or from Scandinavia or even from old kingdoms belonging to barbarians.

History

Kronos was formed in 1994 in Thaon-les-Vosges (France) by Grams (14 years old), Marot (17 years old), Jeremy (17 years old) and Mike (13 years old). The band played at this point some Heavy-thrash-metal. Two years later Tems (19 years old) replaced Marot (guitar) and Kristof (18 years old) joins the band for the vocals. Kronos started then to play Death Metal music and recorded its first demo called Outrance. In 1999, Tom (20 years old) replaces Jéremy and the band is now definitely oriented towards 'Brutal Death Metal'. The following year the recording of a new demo Split Promo 2000 containing 4 titles is finalized.

The long awaited first album Titan's Awakening was released in 2001. This first edition of this album was produced by the band itself. The band has then been acclaimed by critics and got its first contract with the label Warpath Records (former Shockwave). A new edition of Titan's Awakening is released at the end of October the same year with a new cover designed by Deather (Angel Corpse, Gurkkhas, Vital Remains...) as well as a new graphical booklet. Richard (26 years old) replaces Tems and plays the lead guitar from 2003. The band signs a contract for two upcoming albums with the new Spanish label Xtreem music managed by Dave Rotten from the band Avulsed. The second album was released in 2004 and is named Colossal Titan Strife. The band toured Europe in 2005 promoting the album. The third album was released in April 2007 and is named The Hellenic Terror.
